Top 25 Upcoming Games of 2017-2018 | PC, Switch, PS4, Xbox One

25. Opening our list of the Top 25 most anticipated
games this 2017 – 2018 is South Park The Fractured But Whole After the success of The Stick of Truth, Ubisoft’s
sequel pumps up the action with more R-Rated shenanigans with your boys from South Park,
Colorado. Return as the new kid and forge your superhero
story from your origins, archnemesis and allies. Use your time-bending fart powers to change
the course of this terrible civil war that involves superhero movie franchises. Meet the popular cast of characters from the
South Park universe and watch them get caught up in a spiral of confusion with its ridiculous
story. Experience an enhanced grid-based combat that
enables the player to utilize the proper tools and allies for devastating damage. It’s South Park at its finest and we can’t
wait. It’s set to release this October 17 on the
PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. 24. The Evil Within 2 The nightmare continues in Bethesda’s underrated
horror game. From the brilliant mind of Shinji Mikami comes
a sequel nobody expected. After the events of the first game, return
to the troubled shoes of Sebastian Castellanos as he is plagued by the horrors of his past. A terrifying new threat gets personal. Announced during E3 2017, a gameplay and cinematic
trailer was released showing a disoriented Seb running away from another nightmare. Unfortunately, Mr. Mikami won’t be returning
this time as director. Instead, he’ll take charge in the production. Fans of the horror genre should be delighted
to know that this game is coming this October 13 on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. 23. Splatoon 2 Two years after their award-winning debut
on the Wii U, the inklings are coming back to bring the color-splatting madness to Nintendo’s
newest console. Step into a renewed Inkopolis, along with
their roster of fashion-forward squids. Of course, that’s not the only thing that’s
changed. Their jump to the switch also comes with new
weapons, and new ways to play. Play along with a friend in local and online
multiplayer, and charge into battle with your motion controlled Joy-Cons. Double your power with the dual wield feature,
and avoid getting splatted with Dodge rolls and more. With all new weapons and customizable Inklings,
it’s a fresh new Splatoon experience. Watch out for our gameplay video once it releases
this July 21st on the Nintendo Switch. 22. Shadow Of Colossus From the ashes of the PlayStation 2, Team
ICO’s mastercrafted action-adventure game gets a PlayStation 4 makeover. This time, SIE Japan Studios and Bluepoint
Games take the helm to recreate the beautiful classic for everyone to play. For anyone who thinks this is the same game,
they’re wrong. It’s a completely different experience. The visual enhancements, textures and the
smooth 60 frames per second makes it an exhilarating journey. Ride along its desolate world with your trusty
steed and slay down towering Colossi in epic third-person action. All for the power of love. Warning: There will be feels. Announced during this year’s E3, expect
this game to release sometime next year as a PlayStation exclusive. 21. Cuphead After years of delays, and a few remortgaged
houses, StudioMDHR’s ambitious run-and-gun platformer is finally making it out of development
hell, and into the hands of patient Microsoft owners. Inspired by the not-so-child friendly cartoons
of the early 20th century, Cuphead reintroduces the artform into the modern world as an interactive
experience, complete with fully-hand drawn animations. Help the brothers settle a deal with the devil,
and fight against an array of strange yet charming bosses in an enchanting land of magic
and whimsy. While its received a few negative reviews
when it was first introduced, its thankfully made better by its dedicated team of developers. It’s set to release on the PC and Xbox One
this September 29th. 20. Ori and the Will Of The Wisps The beloved adventures of our favorite catlike
forest spirit has returned. This sequel is currently still in development
and little details have been unveiled. The trailer they released shows us their signature
hand painted visuals and colorful backdrops. However, darkness looms over the horizon and
we’re afraid Ori might be saving the troubled forest once more. The original game delivered a good experience
for metroidvania fans. Bringing a whole new experience for the classic
genre with a modern twist. It brings a sense of accomplishment to every
difficult scenario. It’s beautiful, fluid and emotional. It’s set to release soon on the PC, Xbox
One. 19. Middle Earth: Shadow of War The war against the darkness continues in
Monolith Productions’ sequel to their Middle Earth Saga. Jump back into Tolkien’s complex fantasy and
embark on a more sophisticated adventure. Together with the Ranger Talion and the spirit
of ringmaker Celebrimbor, amass your own army to fight against Sauron’s Nazgul forces. Famous for their Nemesis system, this sequel
builds upon its foundations, and allowing you to create your own stories within its
realm. Forge alliances, build your own orc armies,
and capture Sauron’s territories with siege missions. It’s set to release on the PC, PlayStation
4, and Xbox One on October 10th. 18. Death Stranding Hideo Kojima isn’t retiring anytime soon. With the birth of his new company, he’s
gearing up for another game worthy of the fans that followed him. After the commotion with Konami and the untimely
cancellation of Silent Hills, he teams up with Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro
once more to give you a videogame adventure you won’t forget. Considering it’s a Hideo Kojima game, it’s
definitely crafted with ingenuity. Details have been scarce about this game since
it wasn’t part of this year’s E3. As far as we know, the level of oddity remains
and Mads Mikkelsen is entering the stage. It’s coming soon, probably this 2018 as
a PlayStation 4 exclusive. 17. Destiny 2 While Bungie’s online-only MMOFPS was a moderate
success, their upcoming sequel promises to improve on the flaws of the original. Criticized for their lack of a decet campaign,
Destiny 2 is finally introducing character driven single player mode. Step up to the plate, and play as a guardian,
harnessing the power of light to fight against the galaxy’s ferocious monsters. Of course, their flagship multiplayer also
comes with a much needed revamp. Organize raids and Nightfall Strikes together
with the improved Clan system, and receiving rewards for each other’s success. With new perks and features, Destiny 2 is
shaping up to become one of this year’s most anticipated release, and it’s coming this
October 24th on the Xbox One, PS4 and finally the PC. 16. Sonic Forces With not just one, but two, Sonic games coming
out this year, it’s definitely a good year for fans of the lightning-fast hedgehog. But, for this list, we’re choosing to highlight
what seems to be the bigger of the two games. In this universe, Dr. Eggman’s usual antics
has finally worked, bringing destruction and war around the world. Help Sonic and his friends fight against his
robotic armies, and save the world once again. Play as the different variations of Sonic
through the years, or as your very own character. Spin dash, double jump, and speed up with
his classic 2D form or his modern 3D look. Created by the team behind Sonic Colors and
Sonic Generations, two of the most successful Sonic Games, Forces is gonna be one hell of
run! It’s coming to the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and
Nintendo Switch this 4th quarter. 15. Anthem Mass Effect: Andromeda may not be the game
fans expected it to be and BioWare will be definitely learning from their mistakes. But amidst the development issues and animation
blunders, a new game comes out the shadows. This latest IP oozes with more futuristic
atmosphere similar to the Mass Effect series. To make it short, Anthem is a sci-fi adventure
brimming with delightful visuals. Step into a newfound planet with unknown creatures
and hostile flora. Powered by your exosuit, navigate around its
world with your friends (or alone) in an epic quest for plunder, revenge or glory. It’s set to release sometime next year for
the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. 14. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus MachineGames is gonna keep mining gold with
their newest Wolfenstein title, taking advantage of our–almost–universal love of Nazi-killing. Set in an alternate timeline where Germans
win World War II, return to the troubled life of BJ Blazkowicz and paint walls red with
Nazi blood in a wheelchair-bound machine gun massacre. The series welcomes you back with its signature
gore, sadism, and hilarity as you fight along with the resistance to beheading rebels, and
bringing the fuhrer back to his rightful place–under ground. Visually pleasing, and oh so satisfying. It’s set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox
One this October 27th. 13. Far Cry 5 Take religious extremism to the highest degree
in Ubisoft’s latest entry to their first-person-survival shooting franchise. Moving on from the mountainous nowhere of
Kyrat, we step into a fictional town in Montana where a cult dominates the land. The trailer was so controversial, people went
political. Aside from that, the game looks promising
with more in-depth exploration to a familiar location compared to its predecessors. Story is vague at the moment, but one thing’s
for sure, Ubisoft stated that they will be removing Radio Towers and the Minimap to encourage
the player to explore. Now that’s something to look forward to. It’s set to release this February 27, 2018
on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. 12. Assassin’s Creed: Origins Before Altair, Ezio and the rest of the Assassins
came into picture, there was Bayek. His actions during this latest entry to the
Assassin’s Creed franchise would ultimately lead to its birth. Uncover the origin story of the Brotherhood
and explore Ancient Egypt in its glory. Gameplay is pretty much the same aside from
the addition of his pet bird Senu that helps you navigate the map. Parkour also remains an integral factor to
the game. On top of that, the open-world experience
takes you to dunes, oases, and ancient temples. We’re hoping Ubisoft won’t disappoint
this time. It’s coming this October 27th on the PC,
Xbox One and PlayStation 4. 11. Star Wars: Battlefront II With the success of its first game, DICE takes
it a bit further with an improved sequel. Go into a whole new galactic battle in a galaxy
far, far away with new playable characters and beautifully rendered maps inspired from
the movies. Control new heroes like Rey, Kylo Ren and
even Darth Maul to engage in fun battles with friends and strangers. Perhaps its biggest feature is its single
player campaign. Although it’s not part of the canon, DICE
still manages to give a new take on Star Wars lore without putting too much at risk. It’s coming this November 17 on the PC,
Xbox One and PlayStation 4. 10. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Now here’s a game we literally could not possibly
have expected. Nintendo and Ubisoft are uniting their platforming
superstars into a turn-based strategic shooter, much like the classic XCOM. Unlike their usual ventures, Mario, Peach,
and the comically dressed rabbits are foregoing the power of their limbs and using their strong,
albeit silly, little guns. Despite its cutesy art style, it’s not as
easy as it looks, boasting a sophisticated degree of tactical mechanics that might impress
even the veteran strategist. Enter its colorful arena, and take your covers. It’s set to release on the Nintendo Switch
this August 29th. 9. Beyond Good and Evil 2 It’s been over 14 years since the cult classic’s
successful 2003 debut, and while there’s been rumors of a sequel in development, nothing
was ever certain–that is until Ubisoft’s announcement last E3 shook the world, and
gave it hope again. Confirmed to be a prequel to Jade and Pey’j’s
sci-fi adventures in 2435, Ubisoft is taking us to a period generations before their time–which
means there might be an unfortunate lack of the two beloved characters. Sad as that might sound, we’re still very
excited for what Ancel has in store for us. It’s set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox
One, with no official relase date yet. 8. Dragon Ball FighterZ Arc System Works remarkable fighting games
have had a tendency of gaining cult following among underground circuits, but not in mainstream
outlets. However, that’s all set to change with this
newest fighting game set in the legendary Dragonball universe. With their trademark cinematics, watch your
Goku, Vegeta, Frieza and Majin Buu collide in the most epic 3 versus 3 battles their
world has ever seen. Borrowing the same mechanics as the established
Marvel vs Capcom, it looks as if they’re gonna take the spotlight this year, owing to their
novelty and the sheer badassery of the source material. Get hyped! It’s set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox
One sometime in 2018. 7. Monster Hunter World Veterans of the franchise deemed this as the
first Dark Souls game. CAPCOM’s latest entry takes it to the extreme
and aside from a console version, it’s finally coming to the PC! Ever since the first game, players were tasked
to slay giant beasts and live to tell the tale. This time, World takes you far greater than
that. With the help of your friends, explore a living
and breathing world where the entire ecosystem of MH’s beasts thrive. Co-op has always been the staple for MH games
and this latest entry packs a huge overhaul. Team up with your friends in the biggest monster
hunting quest you can ever have. It’s set to release sometime this 2018. 6. Spider-Man It feels like so long ago since Sony teased
our hearts with a glorious nine minute presentation of Spidey’s web-slinging action in E3 2016. And, while it turned out to have a totally
straightforward title, the hype continues to live on. Roam around an open New York city with your
friendly neighborhood superhero, wrap some baddies up, and swing about on your physics-based
webs. From what we saw on their gameplay presentation,
it’s looking absolutely awesome. While it still has Peter Parker at the helm,
the game also features well-known characters like Miles Morales who took the mantle in
the Ultimate Spider-Man Comics, as well as an array of iconic villains. A PS4 exclusive, it’s set to release sometime
in 2018. 5. Kingdom Hearts III I guess it’s safe to say that this game
is long overdue. Square Enix’s critically acclaimed series
is gearing up for its 3rd and probably final mainline entry. Provided if another delay is imminent. Sora, Donald and Goofy return to new and familiar
worlds to stop the evil darkness from tearing things apart. Square’s been teasing the fans with gameplay
trailers and short story details. What we know so far is that this will end
the Xehanort story. Gameplay is completely revamped for a fast-paced
hack and slash action. Even the visuals are top notch. We can’t wait for this game. It’s coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox
One sometime this 2018… or 2019. 4. The Last Of Us: Part II Joel and Ellie’s quest is just the beginning. After the traumatic events of the first game,
we find them in a state of maturity– physically and mentally. The hunt for the Fireflies continues and the
dynamic duo has learned a lot from their previous mishaps. Unfortunately, the only thing we know about
is a few story detail and an adult Ellie. The cinematic trailer they provided was enough
for the hype though. And we can’t wait for more announcements
in the future. As a PlayStation 4 exclusive, expect good
things. It’s coming sometime this 2018. 3. Red Dead Redemption 2 Sad to say there weren’t any new details
coming from this game after its announcement last year. Apparently, it was delayed to 2018 to improve
the state of the game. Rockstar is known for this kind of stuff,
but they always provide in the end. This sequel takes you to the world of RDD
once again. This time, Rockstar promises a bigger and
explorable open-world to discover. On a side note, it seems like Rockstar is
banning mods from their games. How would this fare in the future? Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release sometime
this 2018 for the Xbox One and PS4. 2. Super Mario Odyssey One of the most anticipated games this year,
it’s really no surprise that Nintendo’s newest Mario game bagged so many awards at the recent
E3. An icon for gamers worldwide, Mr. Mario is
literally going global as he ventures out of his usual fungal Kingdom, and into the
happy streets of the Big Apple. It setting a whole new standard for open world
exploration in the Mario series. Help him rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s
wedding plans, and use his new magical cap to transform it into any animal or object. Solve some puzzles, defeat your enemies, and
bask in the glow of his awesome new world. The wait is almost over! It’s set to release on the Nintendo Switch
this October 27th. 1. God Of War As if there was any doubt. Sony’s upcoming action-adventure takes you
to the shoes of Kratos and his son Atreus. Together they embark on a journey in Norse
realm. Little details on the story have been unveiled
especially the monsters they will face along the way. With the release of the recent gameplay trailer,
expect an improved combat system such as over the shoulder camera and new weapons. This is whatoplay’s most anticipated game
and we can’t wait for Kratos and his son to take down Nordic Gods. A PlayStation 4 exclusive, it’s set to release
sometime this 2018.
